To prove your Settled Status (or Pre-Settled Status) in the UK you need digital proof. Here’s how to do it:
Step-by-step: How to prove your Settled Status
- Go to the official government website

- Log in to your UKVI account
You’ll need:
- The identity document you used in your application for pre-settled status or any e-Visa (passport, ID card, or biometric residence card).
- Your date of birth.
- The email address or phone number you used for your application (you’ll receive a security code).
- Generate a share code
Once logged in:
- Choose “Prove your status”.
- Click “Get a share code”.
- Select what the code is for. There are 3 options to select:
- To prove my right to work
- To prove my right to rent in England
- To prove my immigration status for anything else
- Then you see your details in your UKVI account and click “Create a share code”.
- You’ll receive a share code (valid for 90 days).
